Mr. David Kesler is a Partner of Strait Lane Capital Partners. He is a successful business creator having founded two companies in the electronic payment space and has an extensive transaction history having spent 14 years as an investment banker covering numerous industries. Mr. Kesler’s combined background of corporate finance and entrepreneurship positions him well to help companies reach their highest potential. Prior to Strait Lane, Mr. Kesler founded and served as Chairman and CEO of Crescent Processing Company, an industry-leading merchant service provider. After growing Crescent to over 40,000 clients and over $2 billion in processing volume, Mr. Kesler sold Crescent to a private equity firm in 2016. After Crescent, in 2017, Mr. Kesler founded and served as Executive Chairman (and later CEO) of Clearwater Payments, an Electronic Bill Payment (“EBP”) enterprise. Mr. Kesler successfully sold Clearwater in 2021. Prior to founding Crescent and Clearwater, Mr. Kesler spent 14 years in the Corporate Finance department at Bear Stearns, where he was a Managing Director in their Dallas office, focusing on the business processing industry sector and other regional businesses. During his investment banking career, he helped raise over $4 billion of equity and debt capital for approximately 50 companies through IPOs, follow-on equity transactions, high-yield debt offerings, and private placements. He also executed over 40 public and private M&A transactions, including private company sales and public company mergers. Mr. Kesler received his BA in Economics from Baylor University.
